Welcome to Lao Autism Association

Lao Autism Association is an non-profit association founded by parents of children suffering from Autism Spectrum Disorders in Lao PDR. The association was formally established in 2007 and received the temporary registration as Non-profit Association with the respective authorities on 05.09.2011. The aim of the organisation is to

• provide information about ASD to parents/guardians as well as to the public,
• provide therapy and training to persons suffering from ASD, including the formation of qualified Lao personnel, and
• creating a platform for exchange among parents and guardiens as well as with experts in the field of ASD.

Lao Autism Associations is dedicated to providing access to appropriate therapy and training to an increasing number of autistic persons in this underdeveloped country.

Until now knowlegde about Autism Spectrum Disorders is not very wide spread, even among medical circles in the country, access to any form of qualified support is very limited if available at all.

Lao Autism Association is trying to overcome this situation and welcomes any kind of assistance to this endeavour.
